6D Helmets Top Podium in Phoenix

Tuesday, January 15, 2013 | 10:25 AM

Eli once again dominated round 2 of the AMA Monster Energy Supercross 250SX division with convincing wins Saturday night in both his heat race and the main event competition. Riding with aggressive maturity Eli worked up from a 5th place start in the main event to pass Martin Davalos on lap 7 for the lead. From there he raced to a comfortable victory after 15 solid laps. Eli’s 2nd win of the season places him at the top of the points standings with 50 perfect points, 6 clear of 2nd place.

Zach Osborne crashed hard in practice injuring his shoulder in the process. He chose to sit out the last timed practice session and was uncertain about competing in the evening’s program. But when it came time to race, Zach was ready to give it a try. Zach raced to 4th in his heat race after battling for position with Seely and Sipes early, and then went on to record a 6th overall in the main. This was a spectacular achievement after starting the day with a crash and an injury. Zach is tied for 4th after 2 events.

6D’s ATR-1 helmet brings an entirely new concept in helmet technology to the athlete. 6D’s ‘ODS’ (Omni-Directional Suspension) technology is designed to be more compliant against lower-threshold energy impacts, while still providing all of the necessary protection for extreme hits. The ‘ODS’ system also significantly reduces critical angular acceleration energy providing additional protection to the athlete; a function traditional helmet designs are not equipped to address.

6D Helmets is dedicated to the health and welfare of motorcyclists everywhere. Its company goal is to provide the public with superior safety helmets from both a technological and design perspective. Visit www.6Dhelmets.com for more information.
