Ha! Have you guys watched a supercross season before??? Reed always starts slow (some would say 'steady') and comes into his own at about round 5. Remember this is a 17 round series. Right now the "Big 4" poitns has reed at the top:
Reed - 36
Dungey - 33
Villopoto - 27
Stewart 27

Nothing 'funny' going on here....

@jacob have you watched supercross season before? Ah evidently yes, and let me guess, was it the 2011 or 2012 series? You don't have anything else to go by. Those two years he started slow and picked it up. But in both those seasons he was not happy about it. He got angry and picked it up. Before that (so 09 and before) there was no waiting around at A1. This taking it slow in the beginning is a new development and its due to the arrival of this new fast competition. Expect big things from Reed either this weekend or the following. The vets have to show the young guns that they can't just walk away with this without a fight. The racing is gonna get more physical moving forward.

@LangstonFan if you take his average finish in ALL seasons going back to 2003 over the first 2 rounds - it comes out at 4.94 (so 5th). He is actually AHEAD of average despite his apparent "new fast competition." So yes, I am aware of his historical performance. Also - keep in mind his "fast' starts to the season (04 and 08) were in years where the level of competition were nowhere near him. I get what you're trying to say, but look at the people who have finished ahead of him this year: Millsaps, Canard, Dungey and Barcia - only one of which could even be considered 'new fast competition.' The others he's been competing against (and beating) for years now. Seriously - it's the same sh!t different year for Reed - you heard him in the press conference. What's more (and I repeat) he is ahead of the rest of what are considered his main 'big 4' competition. #mxeducationneededforyou
