Rockwell/FirePoliceMX Finalizes SX Roster
Rusk, from Aztec, N.M., and Paluzzi, from Riverside, Calif., both return for a second season with the team. In 2011, Rusk finished the Supercross Lites West Region 19th overall, with a career-best 11th-place finish in Salt Lake City. Paluzzi raced several final rounds with the team, including Seattle, before getting injured in practice in Salt Lake City.
The team welcomes newcomer Trevor Ivey, from Kennewick, Wash. Ivey joins the team for his rookie season of supercross after qualifying for two outdoor nationals last summer, Freestone and Washougal.
“I’m still working on getting the bike completely dialed in for Phoenix,” says Ivey. “I’m recovering from a wrist injury so I won’t be on the line for A1. For this season, I just want to see where my speed is, make the night shows and hopefully make the mains. That’s the goal going forward.”
The team is also excited to unveil a new pledge program. Team supporters can pledge any dollar amount to any of the three riders. The pledge amount will go to the rider for each championship point earned in each of the eight 250SX West Region races and the Las Vegas Shootout.
“We’re trying to get enough collective pledges to give our riders an extra dollar-figure incentive for each point they earn,” says Ed Wilson, manager of Team Rockwell/FirePoliceMX. “It’s a great opportunity for fans to get involved with a growing supercross team and contribute directly to the success of our three hard-working privateers.”
If you’re interested in supporting the team this season or want more information about the pledge program, please contact Ed Wilson by phone at (760) 586-5320 or by email at ed@firepolicemx.com.
