J-Star/JDR KTM's 2013 Rider Lineup
Tuesday, November 13, 2012 | 12:15 PMThe JDR/J-Star/KTM Racing Team has announced its three-strong rider lineup for the 2013 season. Malcolm Stewart, Joey Savatgy and Josh Cachia will race the AMA West Coast Supercross Lites series in 2013, with Stewart and Savatgy moving on to race the 250cc Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship series, while Cachia will return to Australia.
Stewart, the 2011 Rookie of the Year, is returning for his second season with the JDR/J-Star/KTM team. Stewart had an up and down season in 2012, with his highlights including a fifth Overall at the Lake Elsinore round of the AMA Motocross Championship, and a fourth Overall at the Las Vegas West Coast Supercross Main Event. Stewart is looking to redeem his efforts in 2013, and perform well aboard his KTM 250 SX-F.
Stewart will be joined by Savatgy, a newcomer to the team. 2013 will mark Savatgy's first full season as a professional racer. The multi-time amateur motocross champion is excited about joining the team, and lining up on the start gates at Anaheim 1.
The final member of the team, Cachia, has been racing for the JDR/KTM Team in Australia. Cachia is currently located in California and looking forward to his first full-time supercross season in America.

Stewart needs to be on a 450 he is wasting his time in the 250s
"Mookie" will be a threat this coming season if he stays healthy. His results toward the end of the season were impressive. I give props to any of these guys riding at this level. Just happy to see the team is still intact. Was totally bummed when the announcement came with Wardy and Langstons team folding. Go JDR!!!
Mookie is one of the few riders that I would say is talented and over-rated at the same time. The only reason he's over-rated is because of James; if Mookie can learn to keep it on two wheels, he'll be a serious threat.

I see no reason for Stewart to ever race a 250f professionally. Likely finish 5-10 on either bike so put him on a 450 where he will end up ANYways and skip overriding a 250f to keep up with the PC/Geico bikes.
i like the way its an aussie team , and great idea to have 1 good aussie guy on the team every year. Cachia has talent and speed and good luck to him , maybe top 10 , more like 10-15th if he keeps it on 2 wheels. he was the guy who wadded big time at elsinore national when he over jumped the finish line...emig says one of the locals goes down hard on the commentry , hopefully emig is reminded by round 3 of sx west coast that he is an aussie...
jdr sold a fencing company for 125 million , there not going anywhere
