2nd moto, Herlings GONE. Roczen (250) just blasted by Barcia, Barcia over-riding, almost crashing everywhere. Bagget coming back a bit, though...
im wondering if races r shorter or longer, because baggett is in a habbit of starting mid pack and working his way up. not a god thing if these races are shorter than nats here in usa.
Herlings 5 sec lap faster than 2nd. 11 sec lap faster than Barcia.
This should end the BS about Herlings in sand.
I wonder if they will be blasting Enter Sandman when Herlings is on the podium.
WOWWWW. These US team managers better use this is a scouting trip. I'd love to see this mix up back home with rv cr js. Besides you don't even have to pay them :-D

It's obvious that Herlings is a machine in this stuff and we just are not that good in it. It's not surprising since we don't race in it at all in the states. I had a feeling before this race that this would be the end of our streak and it's looking more and more like I was right. It sounds like RD isn't used to it has he is falling a lot more than here in the states. Wish I could actually watch it would love to see these great riders from all over the world ride this track.

Awesome racing. Awesome track. Herlings is some sort of sand freak but I'd have to say Roczen has impressed me the most. Considering his okay outdoors season his performance today has been very impressive.
the americans can't handle a real tough motocross track!! THey need it smooth. James would have crashed out bad...ONly villipoto would have had a chance at doing well for the americans...
I don't think that is true at all Canadian. The Europeans have been on these tracks a lot. It's just different is all. They come over here and they get smoked too. I was at Budds Creek in 07 Tim Ferry was our 3rd rider and he was towards the top of that race. If they raced that type of track more regularly they would do better just as the Europeans would do better here if they rode it more.
So the Euro's are faster. I lot lot faster. But I gotta say this is the worst telecast ever. They actually manage to miss every piece action. Makes you appreciate how good our telecasts are in the States. Although it might be easier for the cameraman because our riders are going so much slower.
I guess I just feel like everyone is overreacting. When they said the track was in Lommel with the deep deep sand it has I new it was going to be tough and if you don't race in that stuff regularly then it just is tough to fly out there and practice on it for a week or two and expect to dominate. Race pace is much different than practice pace and it is showing. All the props to the GP racers though they are amazing and wish I could watch it. Love to see Roczen doing awesome love that guy.
Herlings is a one-trick pony. If only all tracks were 3ft deep sand...
We were in good shape till the last lap when JB crashed for the 2nd time, That cost us 9 points! JB should have had 3rd or 4th thats race but he did not use his head at all. The first crash was just plain stupid!! Oh well Germany has this wrapped unless something really goes bad for them. I hope herlings and Cariolia start together that should be fun to see.

well according to DV-12: USA after 2 motos (and with worst ride so far taken out), usa is in 5th. im just hoping we can get a top 3 after the last moto. barcia i guess didnt finnish last lap from a broken front wheel from an earlier collision with dyeker.
Yeah, about Roczen, finishing that high on a 250... actually, the 350s get some props too. If there was EVER a track that would seem to reward raw fricken power, that has to be it. Saw Roczen pass guys who would pull him on the next straight, then re-pass in corner. Had to keep cycling that untill he had enough gap not to get eaten on the next straight.
At end of the moto, Bagget did pretty darn nice job. Steady strokes.... Need to have him talk to Barcia.
Likely best RD can do is 3rd behind Herlings and Caroli. So final points are up to Barcia.
As of now.... that don't feel good.
Maybe it highlights how well Kroc n musq did this year considering they were playing in a different sandpit? Different race styles, tracks, foods, climate etc
Lommels unique sand is not anywhere in the states, the Europeans have a clear advantage. When they come to the states to race...at least they have similar terrain back at home so they are never completely out of their element. This Lommel sand is just way different than Southwick or anything else they race here in the states.

BB is by far the best in ur team....smooth good line choices and smart..
2015 its at glenn helen....the track they all practice on alot!!! its also if im correct got alittle sand in places?? food for thought....
i watch the nats and all your tracks are great...but smooth even at there worst they dont chop up like the gp tracks....
mayb ama should think about that....usa are loosing the cup not coz they cant its coz they dont know how to ride a track that ruff....JB is all over the place!!!!
Funny how the MXD has been raced all over the world and finaly a track we have a hard time on and some of you are all giddy over it!! enjoy it. LOL cuz in the last 20 years it has not happen much!!

After Lommel, any other track will have the riders feeling like they are on blacktop! :-)
No excuses, the European locals are more skilled deep sand riders than our boyz.
Like they say though..., "it ain't over till it's over", and anything can, and does happen so I'm not given up until the last checkered flag tells the story! That's how we "roll" in America!

from what i watched (both motos) , i saw usa struggle which is what i would thought would happen if this sand was as deep as they were talking . we just dont ride that stuff. so i guess that is the almighty equilizer that the euro's were looking for ! so be it !! i can except that ! now bring these guys to the states and put them at glen helen in sept and watch them melt !

It's acualy quite sad britisharmpump, How is YOUR team doing?? Your jsu happy team USA is not winning even though your team has nothing to do with it. The only people who shouild be pounding their chest is the people from Germany your just riding on their coat tails... HOW sad. you can do it your self but are just happy the USA is not. how sad!!

a lot of wise comments here. Herlings is a one trick poney..but that is one mighty trick in the bag. No one else in our sport has one that big. Kenny is the most impressive. Bagget the smartest...and Barcia...well he doesnt disappoint!!! OK 3 minutes to last moto. May i remind everyone that its motocross. If germany get 2 mechanicals, USA could still win it, or France, or Belgium OR ESTONIA!! Switzerland are apparently buried somewhere in the sand.......booo hoooooooo
British we have won the last 8 MXD in a row and only 2 have been in the states so I don't think they need to change the tracks to be more like gps. He had 20 acres of sand he rode on. Again racing on it and riding on it are 2 different things.
Like I said before I knew this would be difficult for us even if we had RV out there instead of Barcia. But it is funny how giddy you all appear. I would like to know who some of these guys are rooting for that are coming here to gloat though? It seems like you are all cheering for anyone but the Americans. Don't you guys have pride in the actual respective country from which you hail?

I said Baggett would be the stand outYank, and he is. Great rider who has impressed everyone here with his smooth fast sand style. Barcia´s legs were history after 20 minutes. He was trying to sit. Like I said, that is just not possible on a chewed up Lommel.
My last prediction? Tony will beat Herlings. The guy is simply a machine in the last 3 laps and he will wear Herlings down. It´s the classic encounter we have all been dreaming about.
Nagl will finish third and.................no, I won´t go there yet. LOL. It´s still wide open for the overall with Belgium our biggest threat.

If you guys hadn't been trash talking the Euro's for the last month, then we wouldn't be rubbing it in your faces now. Our riders won't get lapped is what you said.....well they just did in both motos....same will happen in the 3rd.

Wish when it came to our sport we could quit bickering. I think blossoming of the Euros is great, Euro's are adapting US practice style tracks, their training techniques......just polishing the sport THEY brought here when I was in diapers. It's all good man but I've watched alot of European races this year. They are scary fast. And Roczen has the youth following aound his finger.
Well I can honestly say I haven't been trashing the Euro's at all or ever will. Again they are not good on the track it's just the fact of the matter and it's fine. And I am sorry I said 8 years and it is 7 years but still only 2 of those tracks were in the USA. This track is just one they are not good on and it's fine congrats to Germany it looks like they have the best shot at taking it this year.

Freddy boy relax baby. Ive got hd over here not some internet show. Barcia went for the pass on RD and got out of shape. It looked like he was going to down. RD reacted and went down. The point is, in a team event u never race your team mate like that. Well done germany!! Herlings must be fuming...he ran out of gas or Tony just waited for him...either way they were heads, shoulders, waist and knees above the competition. Dont come down so hard on dungey guys...
In the end we had a shot till the last lap of moto2 when JB lost 9 spots and then the RD crash in moto 3 and lost 5 spots.we could have LOL the Germans did a great job, all 3 guys. so the USA is 7-1 in the last 8 years. I can live with that.

Well I guess you've seen the replays by now.
We could lay the blame on Barcia's bam bam move that knocked his spokes out in the first moto.But in reallity we just straight up got our asses kicked.
i dont think USA rode bad....think there so used to winning that when the pace wasnt there they over rode and made mistakes....
if they had settled down they could of won....
RD dont crash...yet 2day twice!! that tells ya he was riding out of his comfort zone..
still got 3rd with all the crashs ect....lol better than my lot!!! 7th i think!!!
I agree, We had a shot for sure, JB dumb move in moto 2 cost 9 points and RD crappy ride in mot 3 cost us 5 points if not for them 2 things we would have won. I am not playing what if because there are no what if we got beat.

Well done yanks. To podium in Lommel is awesome. I think you up played your chances before the event, and are down playing them after finishing on the podium. The races panned out exactly how we thought they would, but then we know Lommel and how incredibly difficult it can be. Your guys did awesome, considering everything.
I think the real winner today was MX. It was madness here today. I´ll never forget it.
So happy for Kenny, Max and Skip. Well done boys.
Oh, and one last thing. Tony showed today what a great champion he is. I hope I never have to read anybody on here disrespecting him again. The man is a class act, not only on a dirt bike, but also as a person.

Did anyone else notice that Euromike finally had his shot here and didn't take it? After a while last year I got to thinkling he wasn't all that bad a guy. Added a little left hand spice to our life, Thanks for the laughs Mike.And for showinng a little sportsmanship. Don't be a stranger here now. (I don't know which one was better though. The one that showed a little class, or the one that claimed to be talkin' to Marvin the other day and he said,,, Remember that? And the real M.M. got on here and was like "I don't need you talkin' for me!") LOL that stuff was funny. And lookin back, we all prettymuch jumped on the bandwagon. He did get us goin'!
