Renthal Sweeps Championships
Ryan Dungey was clearly the deserving champion in the 450 class after clinching the title 2 rounds early at Unadilla. More impressive is the fact that he didn't just cruise in the final two rounds, but took the overalls with four convincing moto wins to finish out the season.
In the 250 class there was more drama as the title would be decided at the final round in Lake Elsinore, CA. With a shrinking lead in the series, Blake Baggett went out and did what he needed to do winning the first moto and almost assuredly the title. In the second moto, the heat, literally and figuratively was on as temps neared 100 degrees and Blake Baggett once again proved he was the man to beat with a 2nd place, earning him the overall for the day.
In the WMX series, Ashley Fiolek was still battling back into points contention from her horrific crash at the Thunder Valley, CO round back in June. With 2-3 moto finishes at the Lake Elsinore round, she was able to make up the points deficit and earn her 4th WMX title.
Renthal is a proud supporter of handlebars, grips, and sprockets to the Red Bull KTM team, the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team and the Honda Muscle Milk Racing team. We congratulate all three teams for bringing home the titles for us this year.
