Were these pics taken Friday or is that much going on at the track before 7 AM (on west coast) ?
Yo HandlebarDragger, the dirt looks like what you see in some farm fields here in central Ohio. Quite wonderful
@ Marko,
Yes correct ! I grew up around North east Hartville Ohio area, all pitch black dirt, pure mushroom compost........Down here all sand and beach, I'm going back!!
Plus my properties were my track was a mixture of this and clay about 4ft of rich stuff it was all farm land before me. Everyone wanted me to strip that dirt off and sell it. I would of made a fortune, but I elected to keep the lay of the land just like it was...................Plus I'm always partial to reel Christmas trees brought in a couple of hundred in and around the immediate 4 acres of grass, and the house. Blue- Green Spruce, Frazer fir, Norway spruce, and other varieties, all 15-20 ft trees balled and burlap, by semi, so we are talking about 15-20yr old trees, real cool. From local tree farms the balance was 9 hole golf and Mx Track. Hare scramble woods track… Nothing like that tree wise would make it down here, way to hot..........Its all like palms trees and such....Just not the same. Closest thing to that would be a Leyland Cypress, or Loblolly pine it isn’t a Christmas tree.
When Christmas comes around you go to the local Home Depot or Lowes and you see all these beautiful trees for sale that have been cut, I just think what a waste of a great tree.........I have artificial tree at Christmas...........To each his own.......Hope for a great race today................
Barring incident, Dungey should win this one by a mile. Don't expect Alessi to keep it close as long early because the run through the whoops should provide for some Dungey separation every lap.
The 250's are going to be insane. I look for Blake and K-Roc to do good with the slight HP advantages they will enjoy. Blake because of size and K-Roc because he has run closer to the front on the elevation change circuits. HP hil should favor his KToom. Yes the Geico bikes are fast but JB and ET have to have at least 15+ lbs on the other guys.
Carl, thanks for the great pictures !
Great pictures, Washougal reminds me of a beautiful girl with a tart personalityl
