About the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation
Founded in 1990 by the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation, the goal of the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum is to tell the stories and preserve the history of motorcycling. Located on the campus of the American Motorcyclist Association in Pickerington, Ohio, the Museum's three major exhibition halls feature the machines and memorabilia of those who have contributed notably to the sport. The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to motorcycling, including those known for their contributions to road riding, off-road riding and all categories of racing, as well as those who have excelled in business, history, design and engineering. The AMA needs to realize this. A lot of people are members because they have no other choice. If you want to race an AMA event, they must be a member. Do they really think my 7 year old cares about government issues?

If you go to MXA's website you can read up on how much of a joke the AMA Hall of Fame nomination process is.

You can go to MXA's website for any negative information you want regarding the AMA and any of their policies and/or procedures. I'm not sure what the AMA did to the staff of that publication, but they are way too eager to throw the AMA under the bus at even the slightest opportunity. Sure, the AMA has quite a few things they could do better, but the level of biased reporting you get from MXA is border line ridiculous.

@Yamahauler152:
It's true, MXA rips the AMA in nearly every mag they publish, but one thing cannot be denied is their tirades are based on stone cold facts. Read 'em. All they ask for is fairness and complete even terns in the rules enforcement and writ. Privateers get screwed. Bias reporting? How many privateer bikes get picked up by mechanics in a 1st turn crash?? None, their not allowed by the AMA. Hey I'm a proud member, but boy it's sad that someone could be a top 25 in the world supercross rider , but get paid jacksh**t, because AMA rules put (keep) the Factory Teams and Promotors 1st......Just sayin.

I am still pissed about them dropping the 500 class. The bikes were too powerfull. How many pony's are the fuel injected 450's putting out these days? Oh yeah just about the same as a 500 smoker,that cost WAY less to maintain. Look what they have accomplished with dirt track and roadracing.
Almost killed em both.
