RedBud Statistical Report
Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Series Statistical Report
Red Bull RedBud National
RedBud USA - Buchanan, Mich. - June 16
- This is the 39th running of the RedBud National.
- RedBud is the site of the largest obstacle in American Motocross. LaRocco's Leap, named for former championship rider and local hero Mike LaRocco, is a 120-foot uphill triple jump. The iconic obstacle has been giving riders big air for over two decades.
- RedBud has hosted a national during the 4th of July holiday weekend since 1978.
- Ricky Carmichael captured seven consecutive wins in the 450 Class at RedBud on three different brands of motorcycles.
- The 450 Class has not had a repeat winner at RedBud in five seasons, while the 250 Class has not had a repeat winner in four seasons.
- Four of the five OEM's have won at RedBud over the last four seasons in the 450 Class. Ryan Dungey will look to make it five manufacturers in five years with KTM.
- Only two foreign-born riders have won at RedBud in both the 450 (Chad Reed and Sebastien Tortelli) and 250 (Grant Langston and Stephane Roncada) classes.
- Every 450 Class victory in 2012 has been achieved by sweeping both motos.
- Ryan Dungey has won 31 of the 58 motos he's entered in his 450 Class career (53%), claiming the overall in 17 of 29 races (58%).
- Through his first 29 career 450 Class races, Ricky Carmichael captured 21 overall victories. Ryan Dungey has claimed 17 wins in his first 29 starts and already sits sixth on the all-time wins list, just one behind Stewart and Kent Howerton.
- Carmichael also earned 1,275 career points through the first 29 races of his 450 Class career, while Dungey has amassed 1,293 over that same span.
- Dungey is the only rider in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship to finish on the podium in every moto. His worst result was third in the first moto of the season.
- With seven career wins, Blake Baggett has more victories that any other active rider in the 250 Class. That's tied for 18th on the all-time wins list.
- Wil Hahn leads all competitors in passing an average of 7.5 riders a moto.
