Bel-Ray Racing-Weekend Racing Wrap Up
Bel-Ray racers were in action this past weekend at the Monster Energy Supercross series in Toronto, Canada and at the opening round of the ATV Motocross Series at Aonia Pass MX Park in Washington, Georgia.
Team Rockstar Energy Racing Suzuki's Blake Wharton backed up his win from last weekend with a strong 3rd place finish on Saturday night. Wharton is second place in the series' standings with only 2 rounds remaining. Teammate Hunter Hewitt injured his knee in afternoon qualifying and could not compete. Both riders are expected to compete this upcoming weekend in Houston, Texas.
With the rest of the team out due to injuries, Kyle Regal was the only Dodge/Hart & Huntington/Sycuan Casino/Bel-Ray Racing racer in action this weekend. Regal performed admirably with a 17th place finish in only his 2nd ride with the team. Josh Hill is expected to return to action this weekend after recovering from his injury in the opening round of the series.
The ATV National Motocross series kicked off this weekend in Georgia and one of Bel-Ray’s newest team racers was competing. The Baldwin Motorsports/PEP racing team joined Bel-Ray’s vast list of professional racing teams just prior to the opening round and team rider Josh Upperman used consistent 3-3 moto finishes, taking 3rd overall for the event. The Honda mounted racer used the performance advantages Bel-Ray products offer to take the holeshot in both motos. Look for Upperman to be a consistent top finisher all season long.
