ClubMX Weekend Racing Recap
At the Daytona supercross, Phil Nicoletti was on track to put in another top-5 ride after putting in a solid 3rd place performance in his heat race. Unfortunately, Phil missed his gate pick and had to fight his way back from a last place start. On lap 3, he made his way into the top-10 and was making a move on the 9th place rider when his bike suffered a mechanical problem due to the inclement weather. Phil was forced to retire from the race with a mechanical failure.
On the amateur side at Daytona, Jesse Wentland was able to take home first place in the 450A/Pro Sport class on day one and looked very strong all day. This performance was after only having two weeks on the bike after coming off of a broken collarbone. Another ClubMX rider, Jarek Balkovic had some impressive finishes as well and was able to secure first place in the Schoolboy 1 class and a second place finish in Schoolboy 2. The ClubMX riders look to continue their success into day two of racing at Daytona.
