St. Louis SX Super Spoiler Report
Ryan Villopoto went back to the top with a win in St. Louis, taking yet another win, taking advantage of a good start and, of course, superb riding on his Kawasaki. It took Ryan Dungey a long time to make moves and get into second, as Honda's Justin Brayton rode well and hold him off to the halfway mark. Dungey finally made the pass and then kept charging, and when RV got stuck in some lapped traffic, Dungey closed what was a 6 second gap down to 4 and then 3 and then 2 seconds, but RV had it under control and snagged the win. Brayton held on for third over Kevin Windham and James Stewart, who crashed on the first lap and came back from 18th.
In the Lites class, Justin Barcia proved his dominance once again by grabbing the holeshot and leaving Ken Roczen and Justin Bogle behind. Roczen and Bogle were close the whole way, but on the last lap Bogle crashed and then crashed again trying to get back up--that opened the door for Blake Wharton to steal third.
Look for the full race report tonight.
