GoPro® Onboard as Official Sports Camera of 2012-14 Monster Energy AMA Supercross
(Be on the lookout for the exclusive press day edit coming tomorrow)
GoPro to Provide Track Views for National TV Broadcasts on SPEED and CBS

AURORA, IL. and HALF MOON BAY, CA. - GoPro, the world's most versatile camera, has been selected as the official sports camera of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, for the 2012-14 seasons. The 2012 Monster Energy Supercross season kicks off this Saturday, January 7 at Anaheim's Angel Stadium.

During each SPEED and CBS television broadcast, fans at home will enjoy "The GoPro Track View", to give the viewersa rider's perspective of each supercross track, captured with GoPro's best selling HD HERO2 camera mounted to the rider's helmet. This immersive experience will provide fans with a firsthand look at the berms, bumps and jumps the riders will be tackling as they charge full speed along the track.

"GoPro is pleased to have this multi-year relationship with Monster Energy Supercross as it's one of the most physically demanding and exciting sports to watch," said Nicholas Woodman, GoPro CEO and Founder. "The HD HERO is the most versatile and durable camera that is able to handle and capture the rigorous conditions the riders face in competition. We are looking forward to creating some action-packed content for the 2012 season and beyond."

During the season, four riders per class will wear GoPro's HD HERO2 cameras to capture race footage from the rider's point of view. GoPro will produce exclusive race recap edits with this footage, bringing the racer's experience to the viewer by showing the racing action from an entirely new perspective. These exclusive edits will be featured on GoPro's motocross video channel  as well as GoPro's social media sites.

Fans coming out to the Monster Energy Supercross races will be able to check out the new GoPro Truck that will be touring during the season. This will be the prime place to cruise by and check out the latest GoPro products and GoPro videos.

Starting at $199, the HD HERO camera line can be found at Yamaha dealers, Cycle Gear or your favorite motorcycle accessory dealer as well as online at GoPro.com.
