it's over for bubba, he can sign with key-t-m now!, he's past his prime, and the kids are fast, bubba james will never win another first class title, NEVER EVER! :)

That deal had nothing to do with motocross. It was a deal for nascar Racing deal. Which was a 2 in 1 deal that was very smart on Bubbas part. Plus he gets to work with J Bones again and have a future next year in car racing. very smart very smart. I saw that comming.
But I didn't see comming was the yamaha bike. The yamaha bike doesnt work for motocross or outdoors. You can look at it when he rode dilla the bike bounced all over the place, and couple of times you could see alittle headshake comming down the down hills at dilla.
Dont get your hopes up for seeing Bubba race outdoors or next year on a motocycle.
my 2 cents

There you have it folks.... right outa his mouth.... Even James knows he wouldnt have been able to beat RV and RD in the outdoors in the state he was in with his bike, team and other issues. Even James Stewart knows the RYANS are two BAD DUDES!

Just seen a very honest James Stewart in that interview. I like it! I think this will be a good turn around year for James. Hopefully we'll see him out front mixing it up with the Ryans and Reed.

IMO, its just nice to have him back and I look forward to watching him race and seeing his progress. I dont think he's out of his prime by any means. Look at Reed, still riding great at 29. Stewarts only 26.

Thanks for telling the truth there buddy, Your credibility just went out the door with me

that was a huge weight off the guys shoulders. i am wondering if ferry is going to still help him with suspension setup? i wish the guy well and hope in his 3 year contract he can come away with a couple championships.

In a nutshell....JS7 was in the same boat Reed was in.....Despite being right there for the SX title after all his issues and still managed 3-times more wins than the defending champ, things were simply not clicking for him and I think we all saw that, and not even with the bike, the team alone was imploding.....so people can respect Reed for bowing out at Kawasaki, but again with the double standard, James Stewart can not do the same and he gets beat up over....James made the decision not to race..."they were not ready"... he never defined "ready" ...so it was his call to make a change....good for him......

Profile Picture
donovanoleary wrote: 4:53pm October 25, 2011

Good interview, I think this is a great fit for a three sides (JGR, JS7 & Yamaha). The outside sponsors that JGR could bring in would be great for the sport. Yamaha really does not have good representation on the track except JGR. Valli has Stroupe and Izzi, but those guys will probly get hurt walking to the gate - I hope for their sake they have a back up plan.

I think Canard's momma said on Vital that Ferry is no longer with Stewart, meaning, I guess, that he's with Trey.

I'm also very happy to hear that James should be doing bikes for at least three more years. Big relief for me--I kinda felt like if he has another bad season that might be it for him.

And in his USA Today "interview," he says he still wants McGrath's SX wins record before moving to nascar full time. I guess homie's been hittin' the pipe pretty hard :D

Definitly a different JS7...more mature and for those that thought he was " on the couch" all summer, he just gave you the low down.....he has been riding and training with Malcom all summer and he took the time to do what needed to be done.......so hopefully things work out for James and for us as we see another fantastic year..... The haters will hear what they want to hear...They didnt even talk about car racing other than taking the race car out in the street.....JS7 is racing moto with JGR-MX for 3 years and then may switch to racing cars...who knows, he may not want too switch if he goes back on a terror of winning..

Seemed like an intelligent guy trying to make better choices.Anyone that thinks JS7 won't be right back in the hunt is jokin themselves ,like him or not. I can seeit now ......"Havoc7"getting ready to come outta chute #A1 on his highly modified 'ole wirlwind' for another go round , all good except the new sheriff may have just have something to say about it this time....Best of luck to JGR and JS7 you'll need it.

Who's he kidding about the choice? This was the ONLY choice as he isn't going to make that kind of money elsewhere and oh yeah, there is the NASCAR side of things. Already gonna be trying it out in a week! THAT is the prize he has in his eyes. When James moves to NASCAR, his bank account is going to blow out the sides. In a few years we'll be seeing James on SportsCenter and getting TONS of press when he is in the roundy-rounds. He'll be buying those jets instead of chartering them.

Lets hope so, maybe with all the distractions put aside, let the team do their job and for James just focus on racing, he might do alright. The guy knows how to win races, just needs to learn how to deal with pressure. I think working with J-bone and the team will put him on track. Looking forward to going to A1.

I would say JS is going to do well but RV is going to be hard to overcome over the whole season. He will definitely blow people out on occasion but just don't know if he can handle pressure when RV is pushing him. Also, TC would have been in there full on this year but I'm worried all those crashes might have mentally f'd him up for a bit and won't be up to speed for awhile.

It's all about the money I reckon.... JGR have the big sponsors (toyota & yamaha) ... And have the facility... And Suzuki... Ahhh.... I can see Reed making a deal there... Knowing his hatred to Brooks...
A bit dissapointed he went obviously for the $$...
But happy for j-Bone and the team they manage to get Stewie... Let's see how much better their yamaha is...
RV should be laughing his head off.. 2012 should be his again!!!

Profile Picture

All of it is great news and great for our sport. The big question is can JGR give Stewie a setup on that Yamaha. I understand the team issues were a distraction last year, but that L&M Yamaha handled like S%#T. It reminded me of the pogostick I had as a kid. I don't blame him on not racing the Great Outdoors. That bike couldn't Handle the smooth indoor tracks let along Outdoor ones. He would of gotten hurt trying to run the pace on that thing and it wouldn't of been any fun getting the snot beat out of him phyiscally and mentally. Here's hoping that JGR can work some magic.

He's not a fan of Stewie's personality... Which is something in his own right... I also do not like some riders, but just do not bother to voice it... Most of them are retired anyway...

2 Years ago Bubba had a fairly good season outdoors. 24-0. You don`t cleen sweep a whole season without exceptional talent. JGR`s technical side is going to put in all thier resources to make James comfortable on his YZ. If he comes out in shape and healthy. He`s going to be dangerous. RV,DR5 AND 22 are really hauling. Add James to the mix and we are going to have a great 2012. Nothing better than 5-6 guys that can win.

But your weepish, tear jerking post above here is pure hypocrisy(although it might get you a daytime Emmy).......you have used more racial slurs, more "subtle racism" tactics on here than can be counted......over and over again!! You work hard at getting around using the "N" word while still getting that same point across (actually you have used the "N" by itself many times). At times you speak like an intelligent, experienced fan/participant of the sport, but when your obvious hang-up with people of color rears it's ugly head, you just sound like an angry racist idiot!!
