What a track! I would love to ride there, be on the bucket list for this over 50 racer! hate to see my lap times, lol

Interesting. I know the ruts were technical, but after that left turn where he blew wide at 1:15, it looks like he was occasionally struggling to trust the bike. I mean front wheel placement seemed like a mystery until it was too late and most speed was lost. He backed off his pace. If true, then perhaps this is why at Washougal Nick made the comment about the tracks should be more smooth and groomed.

always been a NW27 fan but just wanted to say i think the craziest/most impressive helmet cams to watch would be Barcia's first two laps of a moto or Baggets right after the 15 minute mark, that would be sickkk

He was off the gas more than he was on it! He needs to retire already and make Wey for a rider more hungrey.

I agree, great guy but no chance for a top 5..let someone else take over that ride.

looked like an early practice session to me, nick was passing guys that weren't even doing the jumps. practice is a time to learn. the guys only need to put down one fast lap to make sure they qualify and this obviously wasn't his fast lap. but hey if you wanna take stabs at a guys talent who's been on the circuit for years, go ahead.

Nice to be able to actually keep up with Nick for a lap! A great ambassador for our sport...

Let someone else take over his ride because he's not reeling in top 5 results? You talk like he's got one of the few full factory rides out there. Wey earns what he has week in and week out, and is still faster than most of the young up and comers.

the ignorance in the comments on this web site is absolutely astounding.

some of you must really hate motocross.

who in the world hates on nyk wey? so you hate really funny, friendly awesome people who rip up national tracks professionally for a living?

I absolutley love how these bench racers can tell you alll the technical aspects about a video by watching it once. "Looks like he didn't trust the bike" "He's barely doing the jumps"

Bench racers, did it look muddy? Maybe a tad yes? It's called practice for a reason, maybe he is trying to get to know the track. I bet you Einstein's did know the track was changed from last year. Of course you did. And yes, he didn't ride
the track since a friggin year ago.

I wonder how many of you typists would be top 5 on Nyk's bike. Lets make way for someone who knows how to diss a top 20 pro rider, that sits behind a keyboard.

SHUT IT!

Would have loved to see this on Barcia, Vilopoto, or Dean Wilson.

Video was all broken up. I have cable internet, so shouldn't be speed. What's the deal?
