so when you're talking about where to put the movement in your training (beginning, middle) do you mean that in the context of like a circuit style workout? Or do you do straight sets and then move to the next?

All trainers try to find something different just no one agrees what really works. They want you to come back to them like little sheep. Nike said it best, "Just DO It " People are lazy and don't want to do what it takes. Bottom line - you should take dance lessons -

oh and EXCELLENT decision having the women demonstrate all these movements. i pay much more attention to the 'proper form' this way lol

By putting this at the beginning or middle, he means do it while you are still fresh because if you are tired, it becomes real hard to hold the proper form, and that is more important than just throwing up the weight

What a bunch of made up crap. I ask you this: Did Ryno use these exercises while he rode as a pro? If not, where did they come from? Has Ryno given ANY evidence that these exercises are MORE beneficial for the MX'r over the traditional methods? Where does he come up with the "proper form" for made up excersises? Has he done studies where 20 people use his "proper" form and 20 do not and seen results? Do you think RynoPower Supplements are better then say...Hammer nutrition or just private labeled and Ryno is clueless about the science? The guy is nothing but a motivational salesman....Man up and do the work yourself or hire a real Professional.

I started implementing some of these free video work outs into my routine a fewmonths ago to change up from the normal "bench press" workouts. I got to hand it to the guy, I like these movements better and it provides a full body work out. Definitely is a break from the normal gym routine. I say give it a try fellas. I have noticed improvements on the track and it has definitly helped my Core strength. I had no idea how weak my back actually was! As far as the Ryno Nutritional sups, you can by this stuff anywhere. Brand name stuff like this is just more money out of your pocket and less money into your dirt scoot. imo

@pizzacorner: you are so right on!

Your comments are correct. People will follow anything as long as the person saying it seems confident.

Just like religion, people are wanting something to "fix" them!

You guys who think this is "made up for the purpose of selling something" are crazy. Ryno may not be formally educated (ie a 4 year degree) and be able to site the research behind the movements but his explanation of proper form and technique are spot on. These are not made up movements. They are widely used in all forms of sport for training. Use these films for the purpose they were intended: to educate and demonstrate various exercises that a very fit and fast ex-pro uses for training.

Oh and Pizzacorner - I cannot speak for Ryno but if I were a betting man, I would say that most of the moves Ryno presents come from his days as a rider. So in that sense they are highly researched!

OK RX Virtual Trainer tell me how Ryno makes money? If he was such a GREAT teacher/racer what happened to his MX schools? Eli Tomac anyone? Does RV take BakerPower supplement? The guy is a f'n hack and is a uneducated "personal trainer" like every other dumbass gym rat in California.

ok idiots, since you're all so smart and scientific why don't you present just one piece of evidence showing how a movement or technique ryno has shown is incorrect or unsafe? this is a motocross site not a physiology journal, they're not gonna sit here and rattle off case studies and references and whatnot. ryno studied for a long time under Paul Chek who is a very respected authority on training and healthy living in general. i'd venture a guess that most of these movements were learned under the guidance of Paul. look into things a little more before you go blindly talking crap. are your lives really that dull?

all you shit talkers are a bunch of envious spodes. and as far as his rider resume, who trained jason lawrence to a 250 sx championship? eli tomac to what should have been a 250 sx championship in his rookie year nonetheless? jessica patterson to wmx champ? ricky dietrich into an off-road machine and damn good mxer? grant, metcalfe, etc. and he just went to mammoth where mcgrath is a beast and just about cleaned house.

Correct, unicorn. He ran down MC last weekend at Mammoth. We all know which rider has more natural talent. And yet....

Pizzacorner doesn't have a good thing to say about anybody. I believe I read in another post where he told Dungey to "grow a pair." What a joke! He has no credibility - just another angry keyboard jockey.

I have to say, I used to think of Jessica Patterson as a (insert your own insulting fat name here), but hooking up with Ryno was the smartest thing she could have done. After getting waxed by Fiolek two years ago, her new-found fitness, combined with running the WMA when the track is its roughest, has put her back on top. Props to rider and trainer.

Magic Uni: Why did most of those riders quit him too??? Answer that! For a guy who is supposed to be so smart?

mxrider920 wrote: 1:33am June 26, 2011

proper form in the gym is proper form. there are some basic fundamentals to working out no matter what the movement. pizzacorner, if you can't look at the movements he is showing you and realize they are mx specific, and that it can only benefit you, then you sir have obviously never ridden a dirt bike. racer x you really do need to put an age limit on who can comment on these forums, some of these guys really make me ashamed to include them as the type of people that are involved in our sport.

@sef 000..yeah dude ..maybe its because she never trained before..not because ryno "blinky" hughes is smart..and they run 7 laps..wow !?? he proved he is a weirdo the other day at mammoth..as far as beating mc..mc is soft these days physically..so obviously he has no stamina...ryan hughes is just a angry person ever since his dad died and needs therapy..and i could womp him easy..if he ever asked me if i wanted some then came at me head down he would be looking for his teeth for a couple weeks afterwards..KAPOW !!!!!
