Kawasaki invited us out to the 2012 KX450F intro at RedBud yesterday where we had our test rider, Shane Durham give the new bike a rundown. Take a look.

That slow motion manual was sick
Damn! Those Durham brothers have some style on a dirt bike!
You know what...That bike is worth $8500. It sucks that the economy is in bad shape because I wanna buy one RIGHT NOW! That bike is worth the $$$$$
That guy looks like Paul Tracy lol
Cool bike. Horrible video edit. Shaky filming and choppy transitions.
Video quality is insane!
Mint video quality but I thought we were going to hear a actual riding impression of the bike.
nice wheelie shane - now lose the chad reed look
only $ 8400 - let me go count my spare change - nope
Tapered exhaust +5 points.. not easy to make
3 maps and 3 plugs + 5 points
That exhaust definitely had something in it... Baffle or resonator. sounded crazy.
Thanks for the cool vid guys but where's Shane's "rundown"? The only info was from a Kawasaki PR dude... I'd really like to hear some considered comparisons to last year's bike and whether the changes made any real-world difference..
Whoops! Scratch that comment - This was the first link I clicked on and I didn't see the write up! Cheers Racer X
y was the 3 adjustable features of the bike not shown (bars, mapping plugs, footpegs). i think it is great to have those adjustability features, but y not show them?
SICK style thru the whoops with that slow mo wheelie-
the durham brothers both have great speed & style
good point"sec114"
they should let him race that thing this weekend @ high point and put it to the real test- such as mapping and launch device on a track as it changes throughout the day- but that's not gonna happen
I find it interesting the comments about the price. What we wouldn't give to have a 450 for that price, down here they are about 11 to 12 grand, which kinda pisses us off considering our dollar is near the same and Australia is closer to Japan, admittedly by bugger all though. Unless I don't understand enough about global finances or whatever I feel we are getting ripped off at the moment.
It looks like you shot the entire video in 60p. If that's the case you can use a tool like Cinema Tools to convert the shots you want in slow motion to 24p. The results would be a lot cleaner looking slow motion shots.
Thanks for the vid!
id love to get that bike for $8400, where i live you get them for aprox $15000 :(

This is my favorite 2012 kx450f video test video out there. The whoops section is stylish and flows! Good job.
