What's going on with Metcalfe?
Metty has a number of injuries at this point, nothing serious, just alotta bumps, bruises and sprains... Not sure if he's racing this weekend or not, he's missed the last 3 or 4 races... Guess they forgot about Metty on this one
Looks like Mookie is okay after that nasty case last week?!
injuries are some crap. just broke my leg and its hard to sit home when the others are out doin laps. Hope they all heal good ! miss will hahn in the sx !
This list is WAY too long! I hate it for all these guys. Injuries suck but they are a part of motorcycle riding & racing. I got a long list of injuries that I've overcome but will never quit riding! Moto Rules!
Always been a fan of Broc Hepler, I wish we had more updates on his head injury, last I heard he was going to school, hopefully to race again some day.....Injuries SUCK.......
Lots of privateers go down in supercross and younger riders..Its sad to see the kids go down that really need to race to make a living (Blair, is one of my favorites and get well soon to the Motocross Riders.)
James Stewart - Wrists
James bruised both wrists from handcuffs while sitting in the back of a cop car and in a jail cell for hours. There was also other private injuries that are not going to be released.
If these were real journalists they'd be finding out why Regal was on the sidelines, uhh I mean on the down low in Texas when he was NOT HURT. JSE was trying to jettison him like they did with LB, true story kids.
I'm a 46-years young and I've been riding since I was a kid. I've broken/hurt...
My tib-fib (right lower leg)
My left & right lower arms
My right full ACL (knee)
My left miniscus (knee)
Seperated left sholder
My right collar bone in 3-places (plate & screws)
Plus countless other cuts, bumps & bruises
And now I can no longer run, jump or plaay sports with my kids and my body now feels like I'm 80-years old! So what's my point?
A. Buy & wear all the safety gear available every time you ride!
B. Ride within your ability (Think about your long-term health, being wheelchair bound)!
C. Do ALL the needed rehab after an injury!
D. NEVER EVER TAKE ANY NARCOTIC PAIN PILLS! They WILL grab a hold of you and ruin your LIFE! They suck the life rightout of you and take over your mind, body and spirit and they will cost you your family, friends, spirit, love, job, money, and will to live!
Follow this advice and you'll enjoy riding for years to come and you'll avoid much heartache and suffering! See you at the track!

While I’m on my Soapbox...
I think Narcotic Pain Pill Addiction is our sports dirty little secret that no one (Racer X included) wants to have a serious discussion about! The closest that Racer X ever came to discussing Narcotic Pain Pill Addiction is when they gave it only a “drive-by-mention” as the downfall of former SX/MS racer and fan-favorite Stephane Roncada (Ron-Ron). See http://www.ronronmx.com for his current career!
The sad reality is that every rider eventually gets hurt, often many, many times, and the Doc’s get them started on these highly addictive drugs, and after only a few weeks, these riders can and do get hooked! Regardless, I read where racers joke about pain pills and there’s nothing funny about addiction – it’s our sports hidden cancer and we need to begin the discussion about Narcotic Pain Pill Addiction! D.C. and Racer X – are you listening!?
What's up with Willbur? Now he breaks his shoulder? How come we haven't heard more about this! Man that sucks!
This video is absolutely HILARIOUS!!! great song too!!

Who was the kid went down in the Lites qualifier and appeard to get knocked out cold. He looked as limp as a dish rag on the ground. Is he OK?
James Stewart---His Pride/Reputation/Wallet.
Comment: All 3 took a beating this week. Should be ready for race day.
@DanD that was Cody Robbins. havent heard anything about him but he will probably be back for this weekend.
I agree with Moose. It's prescription poison. It's heroine. In Hollywood they refer to it as "Natural Causes". When the Doc prescribes it to me after a surgery or injury I can't take it. It makes me nauseous. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I've seen it take down some pretty good people.
Hey raysnowboard! Way to speak up, I wish more folks here would also speak up about the VERY REAL problem with pain pills and MX/SX riders!
Hell, I've even seen where racers/media joke about these pills and make them sound fun/cool.
If you're reading this, and you think you may have a pain pill problem, PLEASE find a Dr. who deals with addiction that prescribes a (somewhat) new medicine called Suboxone; this drug really helps and it saves lives IMHO!
My cousin talked to Mookie and Robbins. They both are ok. Robbins sent my cousin a picture of his back and it was scratched up from shoulder to ass on the left side. I don't know if he told her if he was going to race or not, but Malcom is for sure.
Moose, Ive had the ACL left knee, lower back, ankle, Also rear ended a car on my 1800 VTX, major knee surgury/nerve damage, My better half really montored my pain pill intake!! Thank God!!! Aleve did 90% of my pain control, That shit is real and needs to be discussed!!!
MOOSELYN-------- If your a weak person than drugs can and will get you. Its YOUR choice whether or not to take them. and its YOUR problem if you cant stop taking them. Dont blame Doctors. I've broken everything from clavicle to coxxis. Not to mention internal bleeding. had my spleen removed, lost a lung... Let me tell you this. Without meds, I't wont be able to happen. Medicine's are for a reason. Have a baby without an Epideral you hypocrite. Not every person taking a loritab for pain is a Narcotic "ADDICT". As for your situation, let me guess??? Life's a b!tch because your fat and ugly.
Wow OrganDonor, im not too sure why Moose's comment pissed you off so much, but hes talking about ADDICTIVE narcotics, he isnt saying that pain killers "are the devil" he was trying to give some advice, you can take it or leave it, but its unnecessary to start trolling and taking personal hits
@Dono35 Yeah would definitely like to see something on Broc Hepler, its kind of like he just disappeared alltogether, although i think he was on dxms not too too long ago..
why no Wharton??? he is hurt going to have surgery soon??
Hey OrganDoner, WTF are you talking about!? (Did you “donate” your brain?)
MxTanker is dead-on with his reply to your POST! All I'm saying/warning against is the very real danger of becoming addicted to narcotic pain med’s! Let’s remember that no one ‘CHOOSES’/PLANS on getting addicted (and yes, not everyone will become addicted), AND, as your post so clearly demonstrates, you don’t understand that addiction is a disease – it’s NOT a chose, or a personal weakness! Regardless, I'm in no way suggesting that these pain pills don’t serve a real purpose, because they do! I’m just warning/saying to my SX/MX peers here to “be VERY careful” -- because some Doc’s (not all, but many, in my personal experience) fail to properly educate (and then monitor usage) patients about the many serious risks associated with taking these narcotic pain drugs, especially when prescribed and taken over a long-recovery-period!
Narcotic pain pills can sneak up on, and grab a hold of you, in just days or weeks; too many people mistakenly think “I’m fine, I’m not a druggy or an addict, so I’ll be okay” – and before they know it, their entire life becomes 100% focused only on getting and taking these pain pills! So please, DON’T THINK THIS CANT HAPPEN TO YOU, because IT CAN! ALL SX/MX riders eventually (frequently, in my case) get injured, and they will be faced with the decision to take (or not take) narcotic pain pills – I’m hoping and praying that they’ll be sure to give it serious consideration, and be very careful if they “chose” to take these med’s!
I’m sorry if my post rubbed you the wrong way! However, if my post helped (warn) JUST ONE PERSON, THEN I’M THRILLED, because I’ve (perhaps) saved that person from the tremendous misery, suffering and the financial and personal ruin that narcotic pain pill addiction CAN/MAY inflict on uninformed, addiction-prone patients!!!
For the record, I’m not fat or ugly! ASSUMING = Makes an ASS out of You!
PS: Thanks BIGTIREGUY for your POST -- good job!
Saw Broc Hepler at pa. track last fall.He looked very good on two stroke yz 250. Appreciated seeing him ride as i too have had numerous concussions. Would be surprised to see him come back.
MOOSE------- your starting to irritate my you hypocrite. You say that doctory fail to mention how dangerous these prescription narcotics are? How about Mentioning how dangerous our sport is??? Our sport is pretty dangerous MOOSE. When we mess up, or get off... It usually ends up with a concussion or a broken bone. I've Broken way more bones than you, I've had way more surgeries than you. I've had rotator cuff surgeries, ACL's , MCL's. More metal in my body than my dammn bike. Let me tell you this. Had a bad crash and was partially paralized in my right arm. Needed immediate spinal cord surgery. I thought i knew what pain was,,, hell no. I Literally woke up every time my pain meds wore off. Pee'd in coffee cans, had a catheder. I finally was put on that devil named oxycontin. Soooo many people like yourself, my mother, sister, aunts uncles all told me i was done. I was Re'habbing for almost 3 years. On oxycontin for 2 years. Not only did i make it back. I came back 113%. It didn't save my life but it sure made it lot better. I know i'm not the only one. I wont even think about painkillers unless i break a bone, and it better be something worse than a collarbone! Do you have children??? Tell me there wasn't an epidural givin. hypocrote ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I won't set here and bore any of you, I just wanted to tell you that moose is right about a lot of us. Last year I about died in a crash, was flown to a hospital 200 miles and spent a month in the hospital. Broke 5 bones, about died from blood clots, and about lost a lung, and screwed up my hip, which was later replaced with a fake hip !!! Anyway, I still to this day take pain killers, can't get out of bed in the mornings, and the very first thing I do is take a pain pill, Hurting or not I just have to have it !!! Yes, I have pain, but some days I take it just because !! Yes, I am hooked on them now and at this time am trying to get help to get my life back... I lost my job of 13 years, about lost my family, and lost several friends over this... Moose you are sooooooo right, about me at least... Thanks for the post, C
