The BTOSports.com Racer X Podcast: Ping & Weigandt
Wednesday, February 2, 2011 | 3:30 PM
Welcome to the BTOSports.com Racer X Podcast show! Well just like every other race so far, Ping, Weege and I get together to talk about everything that went on at the Oakland SX. From the track, to whether this is a turning point for James Stewart, to Justin Brayton, to Davi Millsaps, we cover it all! We also touch on the KTM 350 and whether or not a pole should have been put up at Anaheim 1. In short, this podcast has a bit of everything.

Most hard core moto fans cannot get enough of the onboard footage. Screw some drunk truck driver filming from the pressbox while guzzling beer and eating pizza. Screw some new fangled "ghost image" high-dollar filming malarkey. The teams should GoPro their entire race, and sell the footage. If Feld, MXsports, Speed, CBS, DMG or the AMA have a problem with it, screw them. Oh yeah, and screw you Matthes and the Kenny you rode in on.
Good times, good times.
The even was a good time. Had quite a bit of fun and the bikes were super crazy loud.
Love these! Thanks Ping, Weege, and Matthes. Ping's quick witted accusation that Steve's a racist was one of the funniest things I've heard in quite a while. Keep it up guys!
lol Weege. "Is dungey saying I'm letting the crazyballs, I'm going to take my chances that they are going to end up on their head, play the they are going to give me back the 25 points 'card' as we have seen with other guys."
Weege is asking a question, says he is trying to figure this out, and ends with saying we have seen this with other guys. He is trying to figure out what card Dungey is 'playing' and stating that he knows that other riders have done this before, but what does that mean exactly? What examples is he talking about? I can't think of a time when a winless rider stops trying to beat his competition. Even if it's happened that a rider in a series battle who hasn't won a race starts letting his competition beat him over and over so the points spread early in the year, how is the Weege so damn sure that it has? You can't be! Just like he admits that he isn't sure about Dungey doing it. I hate when you call assumption fact and base more assumptions on it. I love you weege, matthes, and ping, I look forward to this shit, I'm just sayin'
You gotta be able to earn 25 points to be able to be able to 'get them back.'
Matthes, you are a busy man. Thank you. The podcasts make my commute much easier.
Links are broken, and I don't have iTunes....
imo: Chad Reed was way off of Stewart and RC's pace early in '06, but then those guys both crashed out in the same night in St. Louis, and he went from 3rd to 1st in the points. He only won one more race all season, but came within five points of winning the championship. That's what I mean when I say it's happened before.
Surely you don't think I'm stupid enough to think Dungey is just LETTING those guys win. Sure, he would want to win, and he's trying to win. But maybe those guys are pushing harder than he's willing to? Maybe he feels that 17 races at that pace is going to leave them both on the ground hard at some point? I don't think this is a ridiculous theory. Just look at '06. It works.
Link is back! Sorry..
Sooooooo, did anyone watch the same race I did where Trey Canard FIRST jumped that jump over the corner in the Supercross LCQ at A1, nothing was said, so then Hansen proceeded to AFTER Canard didn't get docked in the LCQ? I could be wrong, but just saying...
