Tuf Racing Wins First Arenacross Of The Year
There is nothing better then to start off a new season with a win. This is exactly what
TUF Racing’s Jeff Gibson did this weekend in front of enthusiastic crowd in Tulsa this weekend.
Jeff put his Cernic’s Honda to front with a holeshot in the main and never looked back. Jeff was challenged early by both Bowers and Johnson but never wavered. As he put in one perfect lap after another, Jeff was able to pull away from the heavily favored Kawasaki duo. Team manager Dave Antolak had this to say about Jeff’s performance this weekend: “Most people didn’t know that Jeff came in last year injured and was a little off his game last year because of that. I think some people wrote TUF Racing and Jeff off this year as serious contenders this year. Maybe after tonight we will even get some props in the opening ceremonies video”.
TUF Racing’s Cole Siebler also had a good night, taking the holeshot in his heat race and then finishing 7th in the main. “The FMF powered TUF bike is great and if I got a little better start in the main there is no reason I can’t run with those top 3 guys. I can’t wait until next week in Kansas City”.
On top of the winner’s podium on Saturday night, this is what Jeff had to say: “I was a little disappointed with how last season went. As the defending champion I wanted to have a better year. I have worked very hard to be back in the front and this helps justify all that effort. I also want to thank Factory Connection for all the help this weekend. Their suspension worked so well in the whoops it was almost unfair”.Tuf Racing would love to thank all their sponsors. American Honda, Cernics, FMF, Wiseco, Thor, Smith, Gaerne, Vortex, KG Clutch, DP Brakes, Renegade Fuels, UFO Plastic, Dunlop, Works Connection, Silkolene, RG3, Scott Venning, Ron Hamp, Motion Pro and K&N.
