O’Neal’s Matt Buyten Dominates X Games Stepup
Simi Valley, CA: Coming into 2010, Buyten was focused on a new training program and had a strong outlook on X Games 16. After a brawl during the 2009 X Games Matt came away with a bronze medal finish, Matt was determined to reclaim a gold medal again in 2010.
One by one, Matt eliminated four athletes, placing him into the final against Ronnie Renner, who was at 32’ 6", Matt won with an impressive 33’ 6".
"Every year, Step Up is a dog fight, and I knew it was going to come down to me and Renner. I had one last chance and gave it my all, and came out on top, with a gold medal." Buyten said.
O’Neal would like to congratulate Matt on his gold medal win. Matt was wearing the 2011 Neon Mayhem gear that will be in dealers September 1.
