AMA Pro-Am Points Race to Muddy Creek Raceway
Blountville, Tenn. The 26th annual KAWASAKI TENNESSEE STATE MX CHAMPIONSHIP at Muddy Creek Raceway is an AMA Pro-Am Points paying event this year.
Select pro-am events across the nation allow riders to collect points, which is the final step to becoming an AMA PROFESSIONAL RIDER. The next wave of up and coming pro riders drive coast to coast across the nation seeking these valuable points.
Last year North Carolina’s Cody Robbins won the 250 Pro class and South Carolina’s Les Smith topped the 450 Pro class at this event. Kevin Walker is on a comeback after an injury earlier in the season and is setting the fast pace for both the Pro classes at the last couple of events. Besides the Pro-Am points, the prestigious state championship title on the riders resume helps them when they negotiate their yearly contracts.
The event is also round # 10 of the 2010 THOR MEGA Series presented by DUNLOP.
The weekend will offer a "test & tune" practice day on Friday, then racing Saturday and Sunday.
