Sturgis N.A.H.A. Pro Hillclimb Results
Racer X / Malcolm Smith Motorsports N.A.H.A. Pro Hillclimb Series : Round 4
Utah's Travis Whitlock made the trek to win the Open Exhibition class at the AMSOIL Rumble in the Hills event during Bike Week in the Black Hills of South Dakota, and did so in dominant fashion. Whitlock posted the fastest time of the event with a 7.628 second run and also won the King of the Hill competition. The King of the Hill event combines the top six riders in each class for a two-ride shootout at the end of the weekend. Defending champ Harold Waddell from Nebraska won the 451-700cc class aboard a Suzuki GSXR while Tristan Davis scored his first overall win at a North American Hillclimbers Assocation National in the 450cc class. "This event is really cool because it's held during the middle of the Sturgis Bike Rally and you literally have hundreds of thousands of riders in town," said Whitlock. "It's a crazy week and its one of the most-popular events on the schedule". The next event is in Boise, Idaho on September 19-20.
