In the past, if you wanted a set of custom One Industries pre-printed backgrounds for your motocross bike, you had to be pretty damn fast, because they only graced the bikes of factory riders like Chad Reed, Ricky Carmichael, Jeremy McGrath, and so on. Not so anymore: One Industries has developed a program that offers custom pre-printed backgrounds that are made to your personal specs. You can choose the color, add your name and series logos, and generally give them that "factory" look.

Russ from One emailed me a while back and asked if I wanted to try out a One iD kit for my bike. Seeing as my bike is absolutely bone stock–it still has the "warning" sticker on the rear fender and blank number plates—I figured a little vinyl addition couldn't hurt!

A few days later the package arrived and I went to work applying my plush-looking new backgrounds…. Well, my man friend Rojay actually put them on. I watched. The backgrounds themselves are made of a flexible 19mm thick glossy vinyl, and are backed with genuine 3M adhesive. The cut is perfect and Roger was able to apply them with no air bubbles at all. The pipe side graphic was a bit of a struggle—as always—but still went on clean with the help of a hair dryer.

Pretty soon my bike was looking like it belonged on the starting line of an AMA national or supercross. More than I can say for myself, but hey, at least I look good while I'm gooning around Perris!

Also available are custom decal sheets full of cool little stickers that have your name and number on them. Great for putting on your car, crash hat, dog, or anything else so people can see that you ride moto and mean business.
