"This is for sure the biggest win of my career because it was on an international playfield," said Maddison on the victory. "I've won events before but not of this magnitude. This has always been a goal of mine and it ranks up there with my world records."
Maddison, who is known for his world-record feats, entertained 21,000 Canadian fans en route to the first Red Bull X-Fighters win of his career.

"The event was sick," he added. "The place was sold out, we had the best riders in the world, every rider was on point, and I can honestly say this was the best event I have ever been a part of."
At 28 years of age, Maddison has managed to slow down his hectic schedule and focus on his training. The Australian phenom attributes his shift in lifestyle to the help of loyal sponsors like Thor and Parts Unlimited.

"Thor and Parts Unlimited are like a big family to me, and they have provided me with what I need to take my game to the next level. With the support of my sponsors, I can really focus on some of the goals that I want to achieve, which makes it easier for me to attain those goals. Thor provided me with premium products that make me feel good on the bike as well as safe."
Thor/Parts Unlimited's other FMX rider Jeremy Stenberg returned to the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour after missing the 2008 tour because of a thumb injury. It was an impressive 2009 debut performance by the man they call 'Twitch' as he finished fourth overall. Not bad for a guy that just started riding his FMX bike two months ago.

"He was definitely a threat to me coming into the event," said Maddison. "I thought he was going to be the guy to beat, but the head-to-head scoring format that is used at this event kept him off the podium."
Japan's Eigo Sato finished runner-up and Matt Rebeaud finished third overall.
The Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour heads to the Stockyard in Fort Worth, Texas June 27 for Round 3 of 5 of the series.###
