Hibbert Takes Undefeated Season to Air Force National

January 6, 2009 10:54am

Goodridge, MN - Minnesota’s Tucker Hibbert has one goal for Saturday’s AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series (ACSS) Air Force National in Shakopee, Minn., to continue his perfect season. Hibbert rode his Monster Energy/Arctic Cat flawlessly at the first two rounds of the ACSS Tour and is focused on doing the same Saturday night in front of his home state fans.

Hibbert had a strong showing at last season’s Air Force National double-header at Canterbury Park but ended the weekend with two disqualifications for a yellow flag violation and stud infraction. With those mistakes behind him, he has a fresh attitude and hopes to take his career-first sweep at the biggest regular season snocross race of the season Saturday night. The Air Force National is the final race before the prestigious ESPN’s Winter X Games Jan. 21-25. Hibbert will be making his tenth appearance at the Winter X Games and is the defending snocross gold medalist.

Tucker Hibbert  - #68 Monster Energy/Arctic Cat
“I feel really strong right now. We had a month break so I was able to so a test trip in Colorado and the Minnesota regional last weekend to get up to speed again. We’ve had a lot of success this season and I’m really hoping to win at Canterbury. Our equipment is so good and I’ve been able to ride well at the races. I’m not worried about what’s happened at Canterbury in the past with the disqualifications. I don’t let that stuff get to me and go into every race with the same attitude. I’m pumped about the new race format. I think fans will enjoy watching the pros in a tightened up, evening event. Canterbury Park is a great venue. I’m really excited for Saturday and hope to put on a good show for my home state fans!”
