Carson City, NV - Red Bull KTM Factory Off-Road rider Mike Lafferty earned 2nd overall at round nine of the AMA National Enduro Series and now trails teammate, Russell Bobbitt, by eleven points in the championship chase.
The race consisted of six special tests but only five were scored after a timing mishap at the first test. Lafferty won two of the five special tests and battled for the lead throughout the day against fellow KTM rider Cole Kirkpatrick.
“The course was very technical due to the large amount of rocks. I struggled in a couple sections but am happy with my ride overall,” commented Lafferty. His teammate, Bobbitt, did not have as good of luck on the cold, desert course. Bobbitt rode a strong race to finish 4th.
