Milan, Italy Supercross Update
September 20, 2008 6:29pm
Paul Lindsey posted this update from the Milan, Italy SX last night on the Mototalk message board:
Just a quick up update from night one here in Milan. Ben Coisy got the win ahead of Zach Osborne, and Stephan Demartis was third.
Unfortunately, it was a very rough night for the other two top Americans. Bobby Kiniry was looking good but crashed hard in practice and possibly broke his wrist. Josh Hansen went down hard in his first heat, possibly cracking a couple of ribs.
The bright note (besides Osborne’s solid 2nd place) was Ryan Beat in his over seas debut, easily qualifying for the main and finishing a respectable 9th after an early crash.
I’ll try to give you an update from night two, but we fly home early morning Sunday so I might not have time. Either way, with Hansen and Kiniry out, and Osborne heading back to England to race the final round of the British Nationals, it will just be Ryan Beat carrying the (North) American flag for us!
