Kevin Harvick Inc. Enters Talladega ARCA Race with Ricky Carmichael

KERNERSVILLE, N.C.-- Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) has entered driver Ricky Carmichael for the October 3 ARCA RE/MAX 250 race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway. It would mark Carmichael’s first ARCA start and his first race in a KHI entry. Carmichael will participate in ARCA’s test at the 2.66-mile Alabama speedway this week.
Carmichael, 28, of Tallahassee, Fla., is currently eighth in the NASCAR Camping World East Series point standings in his rookie season. After 11 races, Carmichael has three top-five and six top-10 finishes plus one pole position driving for Ken Schrader Racing.
Attempting to make his mark in the world of stock car racing, Carmichael is world-renowned as the most successful motocross racer in American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) history. He has five Supercross championships, 10 national outdoor championships and a total of 150 professional race victories, including multiple titles in the worldwide Motocross-of-Nations event. Carmichael also recently won X Games gold medals in Moto X racing and step-up competition. Among his many accomplishments include being the first rider to record an undefeated season in the AMA National Outdoor Championships, winning 24 motos without a defeat in the 250cc category in 2002 and again in 2004.
