Live Concert Saturday Night at High Point
MORGANTOWN, W. Va. (June 12, 2008) – The noise won’t stop at High Point Raceway even after the motorcycles shut down. Rock band Ten Man Push will perform live in concert on Saturday night at 8 p.m., part of the 32nd Annual Kawasaki Monster Energy Pro Motocross National at High Point Raceway presented by Centra Bank.
The band will play on the MountainFest Stage, a focal point of the popular MountainFest Motorcycle Rally which runs each July in Morgantown.
“We’re thrilled to get back east and play at High Point,” said Lonnie Park, lead singer for Ten Man Push. “We’ve heard the High Point fans are some of the best in the country. We’re having a blast playing at the races, and this live Saturday night show is the next step.”
Park is the brother-in-law of professional motorcycle racers Rodney Smith and Steve Hatch, and he wrote the song “In The Dirt” as a tribute to motocross racing. The band will play at seven out of 12 rounds of the 2008 AMA Toyota Motocross Championship tour. On Saturday night at High Point, the band will play cuts from their new album, “Kingdom of Fools,” and also cover many mainstream hits.
Ten Man Push is quickly becoming a household name thanks to the feature of “In the Dirt” on VS Network’s Racer TV. In addition, the band’s music has been a significant element of the infamous “Nitro Circus” DVD’s featuring Travis Pastrana and friends doing logic-defying stunts on their bikes.
After receiving accolades from the Soundoff Awards for the Best Modern Rock CD of 2007, Park, lead guitar player John West, drummer Nate Horton, and bassist Dave Hoyt have kept the throttle wide open, playing for hundreds and thousands of enthusiastic dirt lovers. Their entertaining live show and hard driving music make listening to the band an addicting experience.
