Monster Energy Engages Paul Taublieb and MXi to
Spearhead Consumer Content Initiative and Branded Entertainment
As Monster Energy continues it dramatic growth rate and engages in more marketing programs, the need to capture, create and distribute consumer communications becomes ever more important. The company recognizes the needs to develop a consistent way to capture this content and distribute it in a way to obtain maximum exposure in a very core credible way. Monster Energy has the most exciting athletes in the world on its roster and wants to take full advantage of these athletes and their hero status to spread the brand message.
To help further this consumer content initiative, Paul Taublieb of Media X International, Inc. (MXI) has been engaged to spearhead this effort. Taublieb's story-driven approach, combined with his television, documentary and journalism background, will be a valuable asset in crafting the Monster Energy with original consumer content in short form and long form television programming and documentaries, as well as insuring a consistent flow of original content for consumers visiting www.monsterenergy.com as well as www.monsterarmy.com, in viral videos on sites like youtube.com and myspace.com, and enhancing overall athlete coverage in the core and mainstream media. To achieve this, Taublieb will be working with the tremendous internal resources and personnel at Monster Energy, in creating print, online and short-form and long form entertainment content to help spread the Monster Energy message.
Initial efforts include producing a one-hour special on ESPN about the Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards, Presented by Monster Energy, airing on May 30th, 2008, and a reality series on Speed TV about Ricky Carmichael's efforts in NASCAR called "Ricky Carmichael:NEXT", which premiers on June 14th, 2008.
