Pirelli Posts Contingency for AMA Toyota MX Championship
Rome, Ga. – After making their footprint in the 2008 AMA Supercross Championship, Pirelli Tire will continue their support at the 12-stop Toyota AMA Motocross Championships this summer, offering a lion’s share of $336,200 in contingency.
In addition to Pirelli’s professional-level support, they will maintain their quality assistance to the hard-working amateur racers around the country. At each of the respective Toyota AMA Motocross nationals, Pirelli will provide, via their new, full-sized support trailer, help to both the professional and amateur-ranked racers. Pirelli’s dedicated staff will be on-hand to meet the needs of racers using their Scorpion MX Tires.
“As we continue to build our brand and support for professional and amateur racers this summer at the Toyota AMA Motocross Championships, we promise to extend our passion for the sport of off-road racing to those competitors that race around the country’s top tracks on our tires,” said Pirelli’s MX Manger Josh Whitmire.
Pirelli will open the 2008 Toyota AMA Motocross Championships at Glen Helen Raceway over the weekend of May 24-25 and will continue their support through Round 12 at Steel City Raceway August 30-31.
