Dunlop Seattle Race Report
BUFFALO, N.Y. - Just one week after Torco Racing Fuels Honda¹s Trey Canard captured the AMA Supercross Lites East title in St. Louis, Dunlop added the Lites West crown following a superb race by Boost Mobile/Yamaha of Troy¹s Jason Lawrence at round 16 of the AMA Supercross Series Seattle, Washington on Saturday, April 26. Needing a second-place finish to collect his first AMA pro title, Lawrence rode his YZ250F flawlessly. For the season, the 21-year-old from Lake Elsinore, Calif. amassed three wins and three seconds in the eight-round series.
In the main event, Torco Racing Fuels Honda¹s Kevin Windham won his second consecutive and fourth 450-class Supercross win of the year on his Dunlop-shod CRF450R, moving to within 10 points of the championship with just one round remaining. Honda Red Bull Racing¹s Andrew Short and teammate Davi Millsaps were third and fourth, respectively, putting Millsaps and Short in a battle for third overall in the series with one round remaining.
