Bad Boy Johnson Favored to Win Second AX Championship
Chad Johnson, riding # 10 for the Bad Boy Power Drink Honda TUF Racing Team, enters the final round of the 2007-’08 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series this weekend at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin with 7 wins and a solid 30-point lead in overall title points. Johnson, a native of Wisconsin, is heavily favored to win the overall Toyota AMA Arenacross Championship in front of his home state fans. The win would give Johnson, who won the 2005-’06 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series title, his second AX championship in the last three years.
"We'd like to congratulate Chad Johnson on having an incredible season", said Bad Boy Power Drink VP of Sales Mike Healy. "When we teamed up with owner Dave Antolak and the TUF Racing Team this season we knew good things would happen. My hats off to Dave, and manager Chris Hunter and his crew, on winning another AX championship."
#1 Danny Smith, the defending Toyota AMA Arenacross Series Champion, also rides for the Bad Boy Power Drink Honda TUF Racing Team. Smith is currently fourteenth in points in the AX division. Rounding out the team is # 74 Ivo Steinbergs, the # 1 rider from Latvia, making his debut in the AX series.
