Dunlop Sweeps Atlanta SX
BUFFALO, NY—Dunlop racers swept both podiums at the eighth round of the AMA Supercross Series in front of 67,000 fans at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on Saturday, February 23, capping off an amazing night of racing.
In the Supercross main event, Honda Red Bull Racing’s Davi Millsaps was first of three Dunlop-shod riders across the line, taking his first-ever win in the 450 class aboard his CFR450R. Right behind him was Torco Racing Fuels Honda’s Kevin Windham, who took his first win of the season just last week. Filling out the podium was Millsap’s Honda teammate Andrew Short. Windham is currently second in series points while Millsaps and Short are fourth and fifth, respectively.
In Supercross Lites action, the first round of the East series saw 17-year-old Trey Canard ride his Dunlop-equipped Torco Racing Fuels Honda CRF250R to victory in his first professional Supercross race, followed by MDK KTM teammates Martin Davalos and Ryan Sipes. Dunlop riders took the top five places overall and 11 of the top 13 positions in the Lites main event.
