Who is Ben Coisy?

You may have noticed the Breaking News we posted earlier about the possibility of Ben Coisy replacing the injured Ben Townley on the Honda Red Bull Racing team for the Eastern Region SX series. But we realized a lot of you may not know who Ben Coisy is.

Ben Coisy is a 22-year-old, Honda-sponsored French Supercross Champion.

Meet Ben Coisy.

What has he done?
3rd Place – 2007 Bercy Supercross Night 1
2007 French Supercross - Open Champion
2006 French Supercross - Open Champion
2005 French Supercross - 125 Champion
2004 French Supercross - 125 Champion
2003 French Supercross - 125 Champion
2003 European Supercross - 125 Champion

If he is a 450 champion, why is he testing a 250F?
Coisy is ineligible to race the AMA Supercross class under AMA rules. All 2008 AMA Supercross class riders must have qualified for the Supercross class evening program at least once in 2007, earned 20 points as a Supercross Lites rider in 2007, earned 100 points in the 2007 AMA Motocross National Championships, or earned 100 Arenacross class points in 2007 or 2006.
