CORONA, Calif., (Dec. 28, 2007) – Monster Energy’s MX stars were out in full force at the recent Perris Raceway Invitational Supercross in southern California, representing Monster Energy and its involvement with the last big tune up race before the start of the 2008 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series season.
In the house amongst the 1,000-plus fans at Perris Raceway was the reigning Outdoor Nationals MX champion, Monster Energy’s Grant Langston (Yamaha), along with one of the hottest Lites class racers on the planet, Monster Energy’s Jason Lawrence (Yamaha of Troy).
"Monster Energy stepped up with a $10,000 purse for this event and, since there’s a ton of great racers located within an hour of Perris, I figured I’d come out and represent with Monster, check out the action,” said Langston. “It definitely got me fired up for Anaheim next week.”
Lawrence, who was chillin’ with some buddies and taking in the action, added “I wish I’d have brought my bike.”
In the end it was Jake Weimer (Lites) and Nathan Ramsey (Supercross) that won the overall purse money from Monster Energy. Next up is the Jan. 5th Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series opener at Angels Stadium in Anaheim (Calif.).
