December 10: Longtime journeymen Earl May has been one of the most competitive Vet racers over the years and the guy can still flat out fly! In 2004, he won the Plus 40 class at Loretta Lynn’s.

December 11: In 1981, Darrell Shultz won three supercrosses and was rewarded with a Team Honda ride. Then, he backed that up by winning the 1982 AMA 500cc National MX Championship and would have won more races and titles if not for devastating knee injuries that cut his career short.

December 12: In 2001, Justin Buckelew looked to be on his way to be the next big thing. He won the San Diego supercross in the 125 class and had consistent rides throughout the season. Over the years, injuries set him back and he could never find that speed again.

December 13: Ron Lechien first burst onto the motocross scene with his smooth riding style and at the age of 16, he was signed to a full factory ride at Team Yamaha. Over the years he battled against some of the all time greats in American motocross: Hannah, Bailey, Glover, Barnett, Johnson & Ward. Today, he works for his father at Maxima Oils.

December 15: Off-roader Nathan Kanney showed a privateer can still get it done when he won two GNCCs in 2006 as a privateer Yamaha rider. He signed a deal with Husqvarna to race the World Enduro Championship in 2007, and will return to the U.S. with a Red Bull KTM factory ride for the ’08 GNCC Season.

December 16: Back in 1991 and '92 Brian Swink won the Eastern Regional 125cc SX Championships. On the other coast, Jeremy McGrath had dominated the Western Region and it looked like those two would be going to battle in the years to come. But injuries claimed Swink, one of the most talented riders of his generation.
December 16: Quinton Alderman is a 250A rider and 25+ local Michigan Mafia rider who made several 4 stroke National and National Arenacross main events this year.
December 16: Cassidy Anderson won the 2006 AMA Supermoto Lites National Championship and was Jeff Ward and David Pingree's teammate on the Troy Lee Design's Red Bull Honda team.
