FINAL STOP OF CORR SERIES, PRIMM, NEVADA
BERCY SUPERCROSS, PARIS, FRANCE
TECATE SCORE BAJA 1000 - LOS ANGELES, CA
Los Angeles, CA - Retiring from full-time Supercross racing in 2003, Jeremy McGrath now finds himself travelling regionally and globally - racing four-wheels, then two-wheels and then back to 4 wheels all in the period of less than 2 weeks!
Just another day at the office for the seven-time AMA Supercross champ, McGrath who last weekend raced the final stop of the Championship Off Road Racing (CORR) series, November 3rd and 4th in Primm, Nevada. Saturday, McGrath qualified with an impressive second just behind Scott Taylor, six-time CORR champ, for the Jason Baldwin Memorial Cup Race. Saturday's Pro-2 race, found McGrath starting the race at mid-pack and finishing 8th. On Sunday, during the Cup Race, which consists of 12 Pro-2 trucks and 12 Pro-4 trucks racing together, McGrath mixed it up on the track and sent his hood flying open, obstructing his track view and forcing him into the pits only to return to the race a lap down. Sunday's Pro-2 final had McGrath running 4th but due to the windy and dusty conditions, McGrath's vision became obstructed and he unfortunately hit one of the track light stands puncturing his left rear tire, forcing him off the track, into the pits again and unable to return to the race. McGrath has plans to race the entire 2008 CORR season.
On November 9th, 10th and 11th, McGrath travels to Paris France to race the Bercy Supercross. McGrath, who is a two-time winner of the event, is happy to be joining a strong American team this year.
Immediately upon returning from Paris, on November 13th, McGrath is set to race a 450-mile portion of the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000. Racing in one of two of the Monster Energy Drink's Challenge Cars, McGrath starts at the Bay of LA and ends his portion of the race in Loreto. This 40th anniversary of Tecate SCORE Baja 1000, which includes nearly 450 entries, from 41 U.S. States and 15 Countries, marks McGrath's racing debut in the internationally - televised Granddaddy of all desert races.
