Maxxis Sweeps Dew Tour Overall Podium; Adams Wins Title
With a decisive win at the Playstation Pro, Maxxis’ Nate Adams took the 2007 FMX Dew Tour title and was named Athlete of the Year, pocketing prizes totaling $115,000. Maxxis swept the tour’s overall top three, with Adam Jones taking second place and Mike Mason capturing third. The event, the last of the tour’s five stops, was held October 18-21 in Orlando, Florida.
Adams, who took victories in four tour events, went out with a bang according to astdewtour.com: “Perfect extension and no mistakes was [sic] Nate’s mission, and he dropped some big bombs during his backflip embossed run. Name any backflip trick and Nate probably had it in his run; backflip nac-nacs, backflip can-cans, Indies flips, lazy boy backflips, and [he] sealed his run off with the same transfer that Twitch busted out but added a backflip heel clicker.” Throughout the Dew Tour, Adams counted on his Maxxcross ITs for superb handling, stability and grip.
Maxxis riders Myles Richmond and Chuck Carothers also turned in outstanding performances throughout the series.
Maxxis congratulates Nate Adams on his second straight Dew Tour title and on being named Athlete of the Year, and thanks all of these riders for choosing the brand of champions.
