Ricky Carmichael Award Goes to Arnaud Tonus
BUDDS CREEK, 23 September 2007 - The brand new Ricky Carmichael Motocross of Nations Award saw the first winner today, at the Red Bull FIM Motocross of Nations.
Swiss youngster Arnaud Tonus, who rode in the MX2 class, deserved this special prize dedicated to the youngest and best placed rider in the final of every Motocross of Nations; Tonus clinched a twenty-first place in heat one and a twentieth place in heat two, finishing ninth overall in the MX2 individual classification. On the other hand, his Team Switzerland finished eighth.
Arnaud Tonus was born on the 17th of June 1991, and is currently sixteen years old; he won several National Championship in the Junior categories, but had to stop his career for one year -2006- due to illness. This year Tonus rode the KTM SX-F 250.
