RedBud’s Fall Classic This Weekend
This weekend’s two-day event at the world-renowned RedBud MX track features the Suzuki Fall Classic presented by Scott USA, & KTM Kids MX Track events
BUCHANAN, Mich., (Sept. 13, 2007) – District 14 & 15 points abound this weekend at RedBud as the Suzuki Fall Classic, presented by Scott USA, and the KTM Kids MX Track both kick into high gear on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 15-16!
“This is always the last great event of the summer,” said RedBud’s Amy Ritchie. “We'll start off Saturday with a full schedule of ATV and bike classes. KTM will treat the KTM Kids MX Track riders and parents to a cookout after the races, and we'll finish off with Moto Movie night by the Traxide Outreach Ministry. Then on Sunday it's the Suzuki Fall Classic, presented by Scott USA. Suzuki pays contingencies in most of the pro track classes, and Scott USA is handing out product and discount certificates on both tracks. And of course, it's the official grand opening of the KTM Kids MX Track, home of the 50cc's and some specialty classes."
Note: KTM has contingency (parts & accessories) for its 50cc class racers, and prizes for all the KTM Kids MX Track classes!
There will also be three MONEY classes on Sunday: 125 A, 250/Open A and Four Stroke Open. A classes will pay 150-percent (25 entries = $1,500) and the Four Stroke class will pay 200-percent (25 entries = $2000)! Pro, A & B riders can ride the Four Stroke Open class. (B riders receive dealer checks.) The always popular Open class is a great way for B riders to test their skills against the top A riders without bumping up a class.
Also, in addition to Scott USA gift certificates, the top goggle company will conduct a drawing from all the top overall class winners for a 2008 rider contract, including a starter goggles set (six pair), one film kit, ten WORKS lenses and ten tear-off refill packs. Additional goggles, accessories and selected other Scott products – at a 45-percent discount (MSRP) - will be available to the Scott contract rider winner at RedBud.
Gates open on Friday (Sept. 14) and stay open all weekend. Registration is at 7 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and practice begins at 9 a.m. both days. Trackside Software will also be on hand to demo their new kiosk sign-up system. Just swipe your AMA card, sign yourself up and check out at the window!
RedBud supports the sport of motocross and has since 1972! The region's most prestigious amateur events and Round Five of the AMA Toyota Motocross Championship are held in the beautiful rolling hills of southwestern Michigan. A state with an affinity for off-road recreational vehicle use, RedBud owns the bragging rights to the highest attended U.S. motocross race year after year. Just the right soil mix, lots of passing and the BIGGEST jump on the circuit (LaRocco’s Leap), the track provides for some terribly exciting motocross racing. Definitely a top motocross destination in a region that loves its motorsports.
