Red Bull To Title Sponsor the 2007 FIM MXoN
The Red Bull Motocross of Nations marks the event’s comeback to America after an absence of 20 years.
FUNCHAL, 21 August 2007 – Red Bull, the world’s leading Energy Drink company, has reached an agreement with Youthstream to secure the title sponsorship of the most prestigious event of the motorcycle off-road racing world – the 2007 Red Bull Motocross of Nations.
The 2007 Red Bull Motocross of Nations will be held at Budds Creek, Maryland (USA) on September 22 and 23. This will be only the second time the event has been held in America, after an absence of 20 years. The previous American Motocross of Nations was held at the Unadilla Valley Sports Center in New Berlin, New York in 1987.
In addition, Red Bull has extended its association with the FIM Motocross World Championship and with Youthstream, the FIM Motocross World Championship and FIM Motocross of Nations commercial rights holder.
"This is great news!” said Italian motocross superstar Antonio Cairoli. “It's terrific that Red Bull is putting all of this energy into our sport. You have to always expect something special from them. It will be like racing at home in the World Championship when I see the blue arch over the track. I'm really looking forward to racing in America against all the other guys, especially the American stars. Last year, in the Motocross of Nations, fighting with Bubba and the other top riders, I won a race and it was just so incredible. Considering that my dream in the future is to battle in supercross, I want to do even better this year."
