This just in from Steve Bruhn:
This is the year Makita Suzuki's Ricky Carmichael does what he wants, and he just added the Bercy Supercross in Paris, France, to his limited last-chance schedule.
The GOAT will race Paris one more time, on Nov 9-11. Until recently he said publicly his last race would be the Budds Creek MXoN in September, but Suzuki has a new fuel-injected 450 and RC really likes it.
Bercy switched to an all-250F format in the last few years and it's worked well. This time, it will be "run what you brung" and 450s are in.
RC only raced Bercy once before, in 1999, but he went home with a broken collarbone and he wasn't ready for Anaheim as a result. He wasn't happy with starting an AMA season not 100 percent and hasn't done the off-season races since, except for the MXoN.
Now RC can have some fun and enjoy Paris, and three nights of racing, without worrying about the next season.
