“TY MURRAY'S CELEBRITY BULL RIDING CHALLENGE will be a dynamic and unique series for CMT,” said Bob Kusbit, head of development for CMT. “Ty Murray is a world champion cowboy and we’ve found eight brave celebrities who are willing to try their luck at learning this incredibly challenging sport.”
“Teaching anyone to ride a bull in ten days is a challenge so I hope these celebrities are in good shape and ready to get roughed up cowboy style,” commented Ty Murray.
The cast will be tested both physically and mentally for ten days with daily tutorials where they will learn chute mounting, how to dismount properly, fall off safely and the importance of mental concentration in bull riding. As their days on the ranch progress, the challenges will become increasingly more difficult concluding with a Professional Bull Riders event in Nashville where each cast member will get his opportunity to show off his bull riding abilities. Murray, with the help of Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame member Cody Lambert and other guest bull riders, will help his famous students overcome their trepidation and take the bull by the horns to become skilled riders.
TY MURRAY'S CELEBRITY BULL RIDING CHALLENGE is produced by Scott Messick at Mess Media. Bob Kusbit is CMT’s executive in charge of production with Melanie Moreau serving as executive producer for CMT.
