The 31st running of the High Point National started with young Ryan Dungey grabbing the Racer X Holeshot---impressive, for his first time at the Mt. Morris facility. Dungey’s lead wouldn’t last long, though, as Josh Grant motored by before they could log one lap. Dungey would run third for most of the moto before getting overtaken by Jason Lawrence in the waning moments of moto 1.
MX Lites - Moto 2
In moto two it was eventual overall winner Josh Grant barely edging out Dungey for the $250 Racer X Holeshot award. As we know, Grant went on to finish third in the moto, securing his first-ever AMA National win of his career.
MX class - Moto 1
Team Honda’s Davi Millsaps picked up where he left off in the second moto at Hangtown: pulling the Mototees holeshot. But unlike last weekend, Millsaps was able to put his Honda CRF450R across the chalk line first in both motos at High Point, collecting $500 for his efforts. Millsaps went on to put in 4-3 moto scores for the third and final spot on the podium. He is currently sitting fourth overall in points, two points behind Tim Ferry, who sits in third.
