WBR Changes Focus Away From Racing
Chino, CA – April 25, 2007 – Now that the Supercross season is near completion, William Brothers Racing has decided to step back from a long association with Motocross/Supercross racing to concentrate on its various business interests. Effective immediately, WBR no longer has any interest in the Rockstar, Suzuki, Yoshimura racing efforts.
“We’ve accomplished a lot of things over the years of our involvement,” WBR owner Brad Williams said. “We put our riders on the podium, (Troy Adams - Steel City 2004, and Ryan Sipes – Phoenix 2005) and have had numerous top finishes. More importantly, we have had a good time and have met a lot of nice people. At this point though, business demands dictates that we turn our attention 100% in that direction. ”
"I want to thank all of the sponsors who joined forces with WBR from the very beginning who stayed with us through the good times and bad," Williams said. "This year's team is talented and I wish them all the best luck."
WBR started as a sponsor of the Triple-X Racing team and has been involved in both professional racing as well as supporting several amateur teams over the years. The team will be known as Team Rockstar/Suzuki/Yoshimura from this point forward.
