Motocross Veteran Carey Hart Stars in New peta2 PSA Telling People “Chains are for Bikes, Not Dogs”
What: Carey Hart, famous for his complete back-flips on a 250cc motorcycle and his affection for dangerous and crazy stunts, stars in a new PSA for peta2—the world’s largest youth animal rights organization. In the PSA, Carey encourages everyone to bring their dogs inside and never chain them.
See the PSA here.
Who: Your readers—and motocross fans—would enjoying seeing Carey’s new PSA.
Why: Dogs are territorial and pack animals, and—like us—they are “fight or flight” animals. Being chained in solitary confinement drives dogs mad. Chained dogs grow protective of the tiny plot that he or she is forced to eat, sleep, defecate, and urinate in. Prevented from fleeing by chains sometimes weighing half their body weight, these dogs respond in the only way they can when they believe someone is threatening their territory—they attack.
