Stewart Dominates Supercross With Bridgestone
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 24, 2007)… This year’s Supercross season can be summed up with just one name- Stewart. This past weekend, James Stewart claimed his fifth consecutive Supercross final at round 14 of the Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Series held at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. Chad Reed followed to win second place, with Tim Ferry taking home the third place trophy.
Stewart paced the race early as he grabbed the holeshot position, maintaining the lead through all 20 laps and crossing the finish line seven seconds ahead of Reed. Tim Ferry held the second place position for most of the race, staying reasonably close to Stewart. It wasn’t until the 13th lap that Reed, gaining time from a poor start, was able to make a successful block pass, capturing the second place spot while leaving Ferry to take third.
All three podium finishers were on Bridgestone brand tires.
