Yamaha of Troy Announces Changes
Doug Riipinen has joined in the ownership of the long time premiere Yamaha factory supported lites team and will be assisting Scott Paul (Majority Owner) in the decision making and operations.
Chris McAvoy has been promoted to Team Manager from his previous position as a team mechanic where he had most recently worked with Jason Lawrence in 2007 and Matt Walker in 2006.
Keith Burns has been promoted to Senior Technician / Engine Builder from his previous position as a Team Mechanic for Brett Metcalfe last season.
These are exciting times at the Boost Mobile Yamaha of Troy Race Team. In the West Coast SX, Jason Lawrence, along with his mechanic Corey Shea find themselves in second place in the points standings. Kyle Cunningham and his mechanic Jason Marin in their rookie year have put in strong finishes and currently find themselves inside the top ten in the West coast SX Lites Championship points. The team is getting prepared to go to the East Coast Rounds where Matt Goerke and his mechanic Mark Russell will pair up with Ryan Morais and his dual coast mechanic Jason Marin to compete for the East Coast SX title.
In addition to these exciting changes Yamaha of Troy Racing is working with Boost Mobile, Fly Racing, Bell Helmets and Spy Optics to try and bring together a deal that may be announced soon – stay tuned!
